I’ve been invited by the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA) to be part of a “blogger challenge” to help “promote active living and encourage Canadians to spend at least 15 minutes a day on physical activity”..
15 minutes? In a row? Sure why not!
What’s the challenge? I’ll let them tell you:
“Each blogger will ideally agree to 15 minutes of physical activity every day for a week beginning June 17 to coincide with the public launch of www.fitin15.ca. During that week, participants will chart their progress and share their personal “Fit-in 15” story online, however they choose to do so. At the end of the week, a panel of judges will review the entries and select three bloggers who managed to craft the best “Fit-in 15” story.”
I know, the first thought in your mind is “Bob, they picked YOU?”
Shaddap.
I agreed to participate for a few reasons, it seems like fun, I get a new ipod shuffle out of it, and I GET AN IPOD SHUFFLE AND ITUNES GIFTS CARD TO GIVE TO YOU!
Isn’t that cool? I think so.
It starts today, so I’ll be putting up a series of posts later today and over the next week about what I’m doing, and how it’s going.. I’m thinking of blurring all the media lines to make the judges’ lives a living hell, so expect text/audio/video/pictures and if you’re close enough, smoke-signals from a campfire somewhere.
So how do you, dear reader, get a chance at this loot? I thought you’d never ask..
Send me an email (fitin15 @ bobgoyetche.com ) with a picture of you trying some of the exercises from the websites My Fit-in 15 or Upping My Game .These sites also have practical tips on staying motivated.
You can email me each day if you want, but there’s 1 entry per day per person. and don’t send the same picture over and over, you’ll look like a tool.
- The challenge officially closes on June 24, 2009 at midnight EST. I’ll do a random draw from the emails on June 25th.
Canadian residents only for the contest please, but it wouldn’t hurt the rest of you to do a bit of exercise anyway, eh?

I am SO game for this.
I’ve been secretly trying to lose weight and get healthier, and what better way to go public with it than a challenge from you.
Can we blur media lines too or do we have to be pictures-only? I’ve got a silent movie I’ve just been aching to create.
