In two days, I’ll be at Podcamp Toronto again. I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. It’s a great (free!) event, and if you’re anywhere near Hogtown this weekend, you really should do yourself a favour and drop in.. Check out the schedule to see what you can expect.
This year, Podcamp Toronto is special for me since my wonderful partner in life and podcasting, Cat will be joining me. Even after all these years, this is the first podcasting conference we attend together other than Podcasters Across Borders.. Now she’ll know the evil truth..
One of the cool things I’m a part of this year is the “Zero to Podcasting” track, which is being offered by possibly the sexiest group of community driven podcasters Canada has to offer. I’m proud to be in such a good-looking group which includes (Katherine Matthews , Rob Lee , Sage Tyrtle , Scarborough Dude , Michelle Sullivan and Mark Blevis ) ….
Anyway, I think it’s a great way for those of us who have been around for a while to reach out and help new or soon-to-be-new podcasters.
Chris Brogan has (re)posted his video that nicely captures the feel from last year, and I think this year will be just as good. The folks behind it are passionate, motivated, and some of them are even bald, which I’m told is key.
Since Chris got to reuse his video, I’ll reuse this picture, since it’s appropriate:
