Losing the blogging habit

After a week of traveling with limited internet access, I lost the blogging habit. Did I read interesting stuff? Sure, lots of it. Do I remember it now? Nope.

Then what am I doing? Just getting the first post back out of the way, so I can move on to more interesting things.

Every “blogging guide” tells you this: post often and make it interesting. Ouch. 0 for 2.

In case you’ve forgotten or hadn’t heard, there’s a Montreal podcaster meetup happening this thursday, details here. There’s been some great response, and I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone.. My recorder and camera will be charged and ready to go.

If you’re on the fence about attending, c’mon – it’s free, and you just might end up learning something or meeting someone interesting. At the very least, you can buy everyone a round 🙂

There, that’s the 1st post back.

  1. When I’m traveling and away from blogging myself, I click through blogs from friends that cache onto my mobile phone. Somehow, when I read those pint-sized posts, I feel I haven’t slipped out of touch.

And I think that’s more important than blogging yourself. All good blogs come from good reads. Or good listens and I count CPB as a consistent good listen.

I can vouch for the blogger meet ups in Montreal. I went to one back in Feb and had a blast. Seriously, you should all go! I would if I was in Montreal.
