I’ve been tagged by Bill Deys. His life simply cannot continue it’s normal course without knowing what my favourite seven songs are. Who am I to disrupt someone’s life this way?

Here’s my list, accurate as of this very minute, and probably replaced by 7 other songs in less time than it would take to listen to them:

In no particular order -

Moxy Fruvous – River Valley
Led Zeppelin – The Rain Song
Genesis – Cinema Show
The Beatles – Don’t let me down
Tragically Hip – Bobcaygeon
Men at Work – Overkill
Joe Jackson – It’s different for Girls

And the 7 Podsafe tunes:

Maypole – Mysterium Tremendum
Berman – Fall off the Earth
Rubberman – Send Love
Retrograde – Complicated
Stone Melodies – This I Know
Freddy Litwiniuk – Let it go
Matt Osborne – Down

Tradition dictates that I now tag people. Well, let’s see if Andy Bilodeau, Bruce Murray, Stephen Harper or my wife Cat want to share their lists..

Matt Osborne was not only one of the best songwriters I ever knew, he was one of the best people, period. Almost 3 years now since we lost him, still hard to believe. Miss ya Matty.

Bob 14 songs, you took it to the next level! It would be awesome if Steve responded too!

Well, after I shake hands with the kids and drop them at school, I get back in the limo and put on the headphones, (so I don’t have to talk to the driver), on the way to Parliament Hill. Here is a random sample from my play-list:

For The Love of Money” by the O’Jays
“Gimme Some Money” by Spinal Tap
“Money” by Pink Floyd
“Money For Nothing” by Dire Straits
“Money, Money, Money” by ABBA
“Money Makes the World Go Around” by Liza Minnelli and Joel Grey
“Take the Money and Run” by Steve Miller Band

But I guess my personal #1 favorite is that great song by R.E.M.,

“It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)”

– Stephen “King Stevie” Harper

(George…Tony…Tag, your it!)

[...] and from Bob Goyetche, Mr Bruce Murray, Canadian PM Stephen Harper and Bob’s awesome wife Cat. [...]

[...] OK, so my wonderful Husband Bob has decided to include me in his silly on-line game of Tag. [...]
