I feel dirty

I finally did it. I bought one. Now I can finally listen to podcasts

On the one hand I feel like I’ve caved, on the other hand I got a good deal by picking up a refurb. I’ve read a few comments from people who’ve bought the refurbs at redflagdeals, the experience is quite positive..

So now I wait. Having ordered on a thursday, and since it’s coming from the US.. I probably won’t see it until mid-week next week. That’s almost 7 days of buyer’s remorse until I get to play with it.

At least I’ll finally be able to listen to podcasts

You got it just so you could link to podcasts, didn’t ya? 😉

Actualy, I have thought of getting one too, since i want a mac. But i’m safe, i can’t afford one anyway!

  2. Welcome to the dark side Bob. Come on in, you’ll like it trust me!

BTW what happened to the Archos?

    What is “it”

    You never said.

  4. C.C. Chapman says:

The important question is which one did you get! First iTunes and now an iPod. Hmmmmm…..

  5. Bob says:

Sam – The Archos, while a capable player, has some useability issues that were making it a chore to use..

    MichealG – I got the 60GB ipod..

You had to do it, didncha?

Well, I don’t have one technically. My 14-yr-old does though, a nano. Seems cool.

I kind of fear the hard drive based mp3 players. From I hear they crash more often that not. My current Power PC/mp3 player has been pretty reliable for about 2 yrs now.
Besides I don’t listen to every podcast in Canada so my space requirements are not huge.

Anyway, I hope it works well for you. Tell us about it.

    Saludos,
    JC

OK… we’re doing too many things like each other.

  8. If it wasn’t for my iPod I wouldn’t be a podcaster.

And I wouldn’t have switched to an iMac from 7 years on Windows. Nor would I also own a MacBoook.

    So, buying an iPod has cost me;

    – the cost of the iPod
    – my fitness (I no longer have time to work out at the gym as I used to 3x a week now that I’m podcasting)
    – my social life (I no longer go out or speak to friends now that I’m podcasting)
    – the cost of an iMac
    – the cost of going to LA for the Expo last year
    – the cost of a MacBook.

Damn that Steve Jobs and his ‘it just works’ crap.

Wow! I can’t believe you bought one! Hope it works out for you.

As you may have all noticed…. Bob is jealous of my Nano and we have the iMac at the kitchen table…. my plan is working ……(evil laugh here…)

We even have Simon set up with an iMac that he can turn on by himself and play Elmo on the web!! (evil laugh here…)
